We got out yesterday to prove that the fishing is the slowest on the nicest of days as it was sunny, nearlly calm at times, and overall very pleasant. Landed one 16"salmon. Dropped 3 others.
But the real news was the water temperature at the launch, just above 32! Not a good sign. We returned to the launch at 1230 to 1/2" ice to about 300 ft out. I suspect that it froze more last night. I know that a strong south wind can clear that area out real good but it's looking to me that we'll be closed out until spring. I hope I'm wrong.

Looks like our weather this week is going to bust up any new ice. Lots of wind and warm

Re: Converse Launch
Hopefully it will break up for the next weekend. However, at just above 32 degrees, the launch area will freeze with subfreezing temperatures just as soon as the wind subsides.
