First Trip

Post by tench »

Heading out tomorrow for a morning trip with my Dad, launching from the east side of Isle La Motte. We haven't fished for lakers or salmon in quite a while. Any tips for that area or recipes (speed/depth/dist. behind ball/etc...) that are getting fish this time of year? We've got downriggers and lots of my grandfather's spoons, just want a couple fish for the table. Feel free to do a PM if you don't want to do a public reply. Will be posting a report sometime soon after the trip. Even we just take the lures for a swim it should be a good time. :D

ended up 2/2 on lakers, nothing huge but it was a fun morning. Waves started to pick up as we headed in, now I'm off to work until late-o'clock.
