Best Launch To Use To Catch A Variety Of Cold/Warmwater Fish

Post by swainslake »

Hello,
I'm heading up this week to fish Champlain with my boy. My plan is to fish primarily for lakers/salmon/trout but my son is asking me if we can also go for some gar/bowfin/pike. We'll most likely be staying in the Shelburne/Converse Bay area and I'm looking to see if there's a boat launch nearby where I could realistically fish both types of fisheries. My thoughts are to fish trout/salmon early then switch over to the warmwater fish once the bite slows later in the day. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

I think Mallets is the perfect launch to get to cold water and fish warm at the same time without traveling too far.

Shelburne Bay may also be a good choice for this trip, as well as the always good CONVERSE.

Best of luck... May see ya out there
