My favorite time of year. I'm leaving the boat on shore this year to try for a ride on that new Reelax. She's going to be a fish slayin machine!

Is the DYP event thrown on a Saturday? I would strongly consider leaving the boat to the shore to have the opportunity to learn from a successful Champlain fisherman and would go fishing with my boat on the Sunday since travel is required for me, I am sure it is worth planning the week end this way!

Haha !! Yea.. Last year we won it without steering..... IE: lost the steering 1st thing in the morning after stripping the gear box out and spent the whole derby doing WIDE turns and barely made it back in to dock at end.............. This year we could go out on a BRAND NEW rig that has no feedback steering...

I'm OK with that Cowboy, but I think Homewrecker will/would put a stop to it....

Fish on!

It's official Saturday the 25 of April, wind fate Sunday the 26 but it would have to be really bad to not go out Saturday. Probably out of converse launch as point bay marina will be under pressure with late ice out like last year but I will call them and update the post

I won't be healed enough to fish by then, but I should be able to run a grill.

Good luck to everyone that weekend and stay safe.
I won't be able to make it this time as I'll be fishing Table Rock Lake in MO.

Matt,

Thanks, but, really I'd rather be in the DYP but this other date was set first.
