The Coast Guard access opened up last night. Docks are in. Bubblers & Mallards included.
Just move the saw horses & you're good to go
Thanks Reggie

Penguin Plunge next weekend At the launch.

Those people would make good additions to the Frostbite Fleet.

Anyone ever try dragging a small aluminium to the edge of the ice and launching?

That has been done on Lake Erie which is actually quite common. Kinda cold though in an open small boat with no protection from the elements and waves. I will wait till April. :)

Have launched out at shelburne point with a 12 ft aluminum 10 horse years ago and we would just work shelburne point. Used to have great fun with lakers ...You had to dress for ice fishing because that open boat got cold! gosh I am still fishing in an open boat !!!!! LOL

CAUTION!!! Look guys, I have been fishing out of small boats for over 50 years. I have done some really stupid things. You CAN launch a small aluminum boat from the edge of the ice. I have done so many times, both fishing and hunting. The problem is...GETTING BACK OUT. Consider what you do and exercise safety at all times. Hypothermia kills. Just sayin'... Have fun, and come home safe.
