If you look close on the male there is a small scar from my lure last summer. Thanks for the look Matt. What email link did you get this from? It didn't show up in their newsletter that I get. Great fish.

got it from a close fishing buddy who works for the state wildlife group. He gave me permission to post it here. You all know him well...

Those are some beautiful fish, and it's really encouraging to see those numbers. After all the gloom and doom talk this year (I'm 100% guilty of this, too), we're ahead of last year's count, and with the water temps being what they are we may see an overall increase in the number of spawners. Awesome.

Don't put your boats away yet!

If you go to that link and look to the left for "USFWS Salmon Restoration Blogs", you will find a great 5 part article about what is happening with the effort to restore landlock salmon to Lake Champlain.
