lWalker Downrigger experiences?
Hey everyone, I was hoping for some quick help. Does anyone have any long term experience with Walker Downriggers? I am looking at a boat tomorrow that has 4 walker electrics on it. If I take the plunge, its not something I'll be able to upgrade anytime soon. Anything would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Made it out for a short, late afternoon run with my girlfriend. Got her hooked up with her first ever walleye, and the biggest fish she has ever landed, a nice 25", 6 lber! We made a couple more passes, and she hooked into something that I thought was going to be an even bigger eye, but after a...

Re: Brown Trout Update
You have nothing to feel bad about Bill. We all love the feeling of putting a friend on a big fish like that, and it was your work and knowledge that made it possible. Enjoy being part of a once in a lifetime catch my friend!

First Walleye trip
Snuck out for a few hours last night for my first attempt at eyes for the year. Very, very windy, but I gave it a shot for a couple of hours. Been craving some fresh fish all through this long winter! Right at dark, banged this nice 26" http://i575.photobucket.com/albums/ss196/heijac/eye1_zpsgt...

Looking for a ride
Hey everyone,
assuming that the shootout is on 11/1, I'm looking to jump on with someone. Not sure if I can get my rig out between now and then, between running back and forth to florida. PM me please!

Re: 2 stroke vs 4 stroke kicker
I just put a 6 hp Suzuki on mine. Works perfect on my 17 fter. Does your 2 stroke have oil injection, or do you have to mix it in the can? If you have to pre-mix it, you wont be able to use the one tank. I have a smaller 3 gallon tank for the kicker, which lasts almost 20 hrs of normal trolling. The...

Re: 2 stroke vs 4 stroke kicker
Hey Will, I recently made the move from a 2 stroke to a 4 stroke. Matt is right, the 4 stroke is definitely quieter and less smoky. But the biggest difference, especially when your targeting salmon, is speed control. The older 2 strokes will not take an electronic throttle controller, and at least w...

Very nice Dave. No better way to get a newby hooked than to put them on the fish!
