Yes, I agree, thanks for sharing. I'm still new to "silver" fishing on lake Champlain, coming from lake Luzerne area. About five years now. My freezer is pretty full, between Kings from Mexico Bay, lake Ontario and salmon lake Champlain. But it's good to know 15" will work as keepers....

Great fishing in winding conditions....
I thought salmon had to be 18" to keep, perhaps different on the Vermont side or I could be wrong about the 18"...

Probably to deep, 15-35...
We did see a lot breaking surface early.
But I keep going with the marks on the fish finder.
Next year I'm going to get couple of planner boards.

Half dozen boats fishing the bay this morning, no action? Lot's of marks just outside launch in 30-50' water, thinking they were lake trout?? Very flat water, not sure what's going on? 37 degrees water.too cold? I've caught silver here in past years at ice out.... Any insight, is it worth trying her...
