Re: Cold water

Nice to see you out there. We started off with the usual shakedown fun courtesy of a newly installed fuel water separator.

Be Safe.

Has anyone checked conditions at the inland Sea? I haven't been out that way

Aerial report - Keeler and Malletts

Some shots of Keeler and Malletts from the air during this morning's flight lesson. Keeler is coming along nicely and Malletts Creek is doing its thing. Gonna be a bit for Outer and Inner Malletts Bay although the cut was open with a clear brown water line from Winooski river being pushed north. Sor...

Re: Inland sea ice out

Fished yesterday AM (4/19) out of South Hero. Docks still not in at Guilmette launch. Ice still present from just east of the sandbar bridge to Georgia shore. Some ice present southeast of Keeler bay mouth. Water temps 36-38 through Keeler. No hookups, but did see a silver jump clear behind another ...

Re: Music in the boat while trolling

Just an FYI for you guys who like to listen to baseball games on the radio: pretty much all modern cell phones have an FM radio receiver built in, you just need to connect it to an external speaker through the headphone jack, and the 3.5 mm jack cable functions as the antenna. It works really well ...

Re: Flew the drone from the boat while trolling

So where did you launch from? Last I'd seen the Lamoille was open, but the inner bay still had loads of ice, including Mallett's launch. Winooski is open, but way too much debris coming out. Would like to get out and do a shakedown run after putting up all winter... Winooski River launch. Wasn't to...

I have fished that area a few times but am not familiar with the buoy what does it mark? It's most likely the green buoy (51) indicated on this map (red arrow) marking the shallow edge of the Otter Creek mouth. DiamondIslandOtterCreekGreenBuoy.png Can anyone confirm? Re: Music in the boat while trolling

I have a bluetooth speaker that I always bring that gives the crew a chance to play any music they like off their phones... I absolutely don't think it hurts the bite at all... Conversly we always say " this is a good fish catchin song" when specifics tunes play, and they work! IE: "...
