Yes, I will be there minus the boat. The Phantom is just amazing.... plenty of room, storage and fun to drive. See you there.
Thanks Ron and Reelax

First trip trolling the new boat - 10/24/15
I finally finished the setup with the new boat for trolling. The American Angler 202 Offshore Phantom From the Boat Headquarters with 150hp Evinrude E-tec / 15hp E-tec kicker. The wind out of the south, we fished the south end of Willsboro Bay. The bite started slow but it so picked up. We ended the...

Great to see you hit the water and nice salmon. I missed your call as we went west to Lake Ontario.
Full moon with west winds made for a slow bite, as wel.

Our Shoot-out try
We decided to stay in close to Port Douglas as the lake was turning....... BIG waves. We managed to boat 4 lake trout, 4 salmon, 1 brown trout and a big surprise.... 5lbs walleye. It was the first walleye I have boated ever...... 30+ years of fishing Lake Champlain. It came on 4 color lead core with...

Re: Downrigger woes solved - Thank you, and short report 9/1
These critters do not need the opposite sex to reproduce....... they can clone themselves..... I fish Lake Ontario once a year. After returning home, I clorox (10%) the live wells for two days, run the motor for 20-30 minutes in the yard, pressure wash the boat/downriggers and dry ALL other surfaces...

Spiny Water Flea
While fishing tonight on the broad lake, my lines collected clumps of spiny water fleas. Although I have
expected to see them in Lake Champlain, I was hoping it wouldn't be this soon.
Has anyone else seen them?
