Finally my son and I were able to get the boat in the water for the first time this year. Shore launch (no docks) at Apple Tree Bay. Set up at 8:00 and trolled with planers toward Sand Bar. There were 4" - 5" dead Alewives scattered here and there and only one otehr boat out. Water at 48' ...

Stopped by to pick up tickets today and Jim is really looking for help for getting sponsors. Vince has been out of action and will be for at least the next two weeks. Jim said he just hasn't been able to put in the time as in past years. He said it may be some kind of different derby than past years...

I give you credit for hauling your boat there to try it. Thursday and Friday in the morning I'm certain we could not fairer well with our boat.Congrats on the screamers!

Did the charter with Capt Brian on Fatal Attraction again this year. I'm starting to believe we are addicted to the scream of a reel's drag. Got up there Thursday for a noon start and had to hold off until 3:00 due to wind and waves. Picked up three in the mid 20's hoped for the lake to be on better...

Sounds like a much better choice than mowing the lawn. Keep at them!
